surgery after my delivery, about a year later found out I would not be able to carry any more of our children. We were devastated and felt our family was not complete, but more of our children were meant to be. We got our story out to family and friends, and while we realized asking anyone to help us have these children by carrying a baby for 9 months that would be given back to us was a sacrifice more than we could imagine, a friend of mine from when I was in elementary and high school called and said she thought she could help. Jess and her husband said they had talked about our situation and realized if they were in our shoes they'd be asking the same thing. Jess also is a RN in Labor and Delivery in a large hospital so she had seen people deliver babies that they had waited so long for and sadly seen people deliver babies that they never wanted. She and I talked about how much we love our own children and how we could both see we would do anything for them. She seemed to understand how I felt that more of Dan and my children were meant to be born. The fertility process was more work than we ever could have imagined, but within a few months of making this decision, Dan and my 5 day old embryo was implanted into Jess' womb and our tiny miracle started growing. I cannot explain the love and care Jess, her husband, and her two young children gave our unborn baby. Her kids accepted her explanation that the baby in her tummy was Roz and Dan's and they talked about it often and sent us updates and ultrasounds pictures, and letters from the baby. Jess and her family are truly our angels on earth and showed us the depth of human kindness that was more intense than we had ever experienced. In July 2010, we all went to the hospital for labor to be induced as our little baby was so comfy in Jess' tummy that he didn't want to leave. Several hours later, I experienced that joy and wonder and love that I cannot put into words when Liam came into this world and was placed into my arms. I have never experienced such a gift. The friendship Jess and I now have is so special that I know it will last the rest of our lives. Willow Tree is part of this story because when Liam was born, I sent her the first Willow Tree I bought which was the Truly Golden piece. I chose this one because the description is "our friendship is truly golden" and I feel there is no friendship more golden that Jess and mine due to her incredible gift. Since Liam's birth, I have sent Jess more Willow Tree pieces and this year am sending her the piece "Our Gift." I feel this piece is perfect this year because Jess and her husband are expecting their own third child about 4 years after Liam was born. They are such a wonderful family and we are so happy for them and we will never forget the gift they gave us. Thank you for making pieces that speak so much to this miracle we've experienced. r children.We have become close friends,but we have not let our friendship be corrupted by hurting people in our lives.Some men and women can not be friends without having the relationship consummated.I believe that to be untrue.I believe that two mature people can value each other's friendship,without upsetting their loved ones.So I sent her a medal of an angel with an inscription on a plaque,which had to do with listening,having an ear,kind words,which we have accumulated now to almost 7000 messages and letters.What's funny is the Truly Golden angels and all the angels in the Willow Tree catalog have no face.Well,if anyone has any experience with Facebook,it sorta reminded me of my relationship with my friend,because even though I know what she looks like as she does me,if you delete your facial profile,Facebook puts up a faceless silouette.It will always have special meaning for me,because we met this way and one day we hope to walk side by side.She lives all the way in the upper North West of the country and I am on the farthest point South East of the country.
