For those who have found their true partner in love and life
"Willow Tree is a reminder of someone we want to keep close, or a memory we want to touch... I like for the viewer to become a participant in the understanding of the piece. It makes it more personal for the giver and the receiver to envision what or whom they want.” –Susan Lordi

Our Story
Willow Tree sculptural art forms beautifully express love, closeness, healing, courage, hope… all the emotions of a life well lived. Artist Susan Lordi hand carves the original of each figure from her studio in Kansas City Missouri. Pieces are cast from her original carvings, and individually painted by hand. Expression is revealed through gestures only… a tilt of the head, placement of the hands, a turn of the body. The simplicity of form and absence of facial features signify Willow Tree. It is Susan’s hope that these pieces be meaningful to both giver and receiver.

I first fell in love with Willow Tree figurines in February 2013 when I got engaged and the Together figurine completely captured the sense of love and intimacy between my fiancé and me. I bought myself the Promise figurine to top our wedding cake in July 2014, and the We Are Three in August 2015 when our daughter was born. My husband knows how much I love every one of your pieces, so for every Birthday, Mothers Day and Christmas since I've received a different one. My collection is at 12 so far and I love how these figurines map my life and family relationships.

Willow Tree Figurines have always been so beautiful to me. My first Willow Tree (Promise) was an engagement gift from a friend. This particular Willow Tree is the second one I've received, and is important to me because it was given to me from my husband, just before he deployed to Afghanistan. At that time, it served as a reminder that no matter how far apart we might have been physically, we were always "together" in heart. Now as my husband's Marine Corps service is coming to an end, this piece sits in our bedroom and reminds me of everything we've been through together, and makes me look forward to everything we will go through together in the future.

I got this item from a friend of mine from Russia. This item has a special meaning to me, because I got this as a wedding gift. I love this piece of art very much. My wife and I are looking at it every day.
