When my mother had breast cancer we spent a lot of time at the local hospital. One day I had commented on the beautiful Willow Tree nativity in the hospital gift shop. The next thing I know, my mom had purchased the set for me. It is something I really, really treasure because Mommy died a few months later. Twelve years later, it still goes up every Christmas.

In 2012 I was a traveling nurse. I found myself in Vermont, on assignment for the holidays. A beautiful hotel suite but it wasn't home. Far away from family. I went shopping one day and found the Willow Tree Nativity. The reason for the season was right in front of me. So I bought the whole set. I decorated my hotel room and didn't feel lonely anymore. My daughter has tried to talk me into giving her this set and I now find myself again far from my family and just yesterday I refound my Nativity. All I can say is thank you!

I love them all, but I think the Nativity is by far my favorite piece. My husband knows how much I love your pieces, he gave the different pieces to me as gifts through the years until I had the complete set. I love the serenity and simplicity of the designs and love taking out each piece around the holidays. Our Christmas decorations are not complete until I have the nativity all set up. He still adds to my collection every year with any new Angels or other pieces that come out. Our whole family looks forward to seeing any new additions each year.

our works are so beautiful and evoke the human soul ... but clearly my favorite piece is your Nativity Set. Christmas is a very important family time for me and, as the senior members have dwindled to just me, it intensified the need, the love, the sharing to pass that on to the growing, younger family. When my husband and I were married in the late 70s, some friends gave us a beautiful Italian "papier-mache" Nativity Set. It has graced our mantle in every home since. When my son and future daughter in law married, I wanted them to have that same feeling, that same tradition but no set gave me that sense of Grace except yours. My husband had just passed away after many years of Alzheimer's and yours was the piece that brought me to peace. I added to the set the following year and I hope it will be the point of inspiration and Christmas Spirit for my 2 year old grandson and his brother, due in 4 weeks. And I hope and pray that they will carry on the tradition. The set has traveled from Arizona to the Carolinas. I live in SC, in the area just ravaged by Hurricane Matthew. We are safe. We are community. If I can encourage a new piece...it would be Helping Hand...with an outstretched arm to a neighbor.

My favorite pieces are the Nativity. Christmas has always been a magical time for me. God sent His only, precious son into the darkness of sin in our world. God did not send a mighty warrior to face this overwhelming task. God sent us a vulnerable baby. Jesus knew our lives in a unique way to teach us how much He loved us. Jesus taught us how to live in this world and the eternity that follows.

Our most treasured piece is The Holy Family Nativity set. These are the first decorations we display on our mantel each year. Christ's birth is the center of the season and everyone that comes in to our home is greeted by this lovely display and stands in awe of its Majesty. Just looking at this wonderful artwork brings a sense of hope and peace. Thank you for all of the beautiful figurines!

For years and I mean YEARS, my son, Michael, has been looking for a very special, a very specific Nativity scene for Christmas. There were beautiful porcelain ones with hand painted figures, cutsie resin ones with child-like figures, amazingly wood carved ones with stoic figures, but all fell short. When I saw the Willow Tree Nativity set, I knew I had found the very one he was looking for. I purchased it immediately and gave it to him and his wife last Christmas. They were delighted! What made Willow Tree Nativity set stand out above all others? Mary was holding the baby Jesus. As a father himself, Michael could not contemplate having a Nativity scene where Mary and Joseph only look lovingly upon their baby in a manger. No, a mother and father of any child would hold him lovingly in their arms, just as Willow Tree depicts Mary. This is truly the most special Nativity scene

A wonderful Advent & early Christmas gift from Aunt and Uncle - a reminder of family and the meaning of Christmas. We have been looking for a long time get a Nativity. It is now set up in the center of the dining room table. This allows us to reflect on this each day as we approach Christmas Day. Amazing to think about the shepherds being the first to show up - the common humble folk of the day and of course Psalm 23. The Lord is my Shepherd and the fact the shepherds were the first to His birth.

Just over 3 weeks ago, we lost most of our belongings in a house fire. Next to having lost our 3 dogs in the fire, losing my Willow Tree collection was heart breaking. I had the full Nativity and about 15 other pieces. My Christmas dated angels were also lost. I started collectioning them in the early 2000. I have looked at the Nativity in the store several times since the fire, but was not ready to start to rebuild my collection. Christmas has always been my favorite time of year, and the Nativity, any Nativity has always been the "true" meaning of Christmas in my eyes. This morning, I was called to my Supervisor's office. Having worked for Kris for the past 15+ years, she knows me well. There on her desk was a gift wrapped in holiday paper. She handed it to me and as I opened it, the tears ran and I could feel God wrap his arms around me, and I know that everything is going to be OK. I now have the beautiful Nativity to look at as a constant reminder that God is always present! God Bless you this holiday season! And thank you so much for creating such a meaningful group of art work. Kathie

I have been looking at this Nativity for several years. Through the generosity of my homeroom class and someone at my school, I finally had enough extra funds to purchase it. It came at just the right time. We lost almost everything in a fire in November including most of our Christmas decorations. Seeing the nativity set up has given me a since of peace and assurance even though we're cureently displaced. It is another reminder of how good our God truly is.

I was given a Willow Tree Angel several years ago as a gift. I fell in love with it and now have 36 of them. My kids all have my list of the ones I have and the ones I would like to have and they buy them for me for Christmas, birthdays, etc. Last year my three kids and their spouses all went together and bought me the nativity set which is my prized possession. This year, April 7th, my husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and my son and his family bought us the Promises Angel and it was mounted on a base that said "Carl and Tresa, 4/7/62." What a very special gift that was and it is front and center of my collection. Please keep the angels coming. They are cherished by me.

My 23-year-old daughter is a very giving person. I had been displaying my parent's Nativity each Christmas that they had bought in Germany before I was born, when my father was stationed in the Army there. It was very special to me but was showing its wear, with many chips and breaks. This bothered my daughter more than I realized. So with her own money, this year she bought me the beginning set for Christmas, which I love and will cherish. It is extra special to me because she bought it and felt I should have something nice. She told me yesterday that when she gets married, she would like to have this set also. That is how special this set is to us. When I look at it, I think of how special she is to me.

My husband purchased the Nativity for my Christmas gift the first year we were married. It came from our church bookstore and some how the groups were mis sold so when I started opening the set that morning all the wonderful pieces were there but the donkey? He did not see what the big deal was until I explained that was how they got there! After a few phone calls the next week, the donkey arrived and has a special place each year as the first thing to go up and the last thing to be packed away. It also carries a small note. "My wife's "Donkey."

My husband bought my first piece "Home" a few years ago and I fell in love with the figurines. He purchsed the whole Nativity scene for me with extra angels, stands and pedestals for Christmas and birthday this year. Needless to say, I am "hooked." It's almost becoming an obsession with me. The stories are so touching and I feel like these figurines are definitely a part of our family. I purchased a Nativity portrait to hang behind my Willow Tree and it is so beautiful. I will be leaving the set up all year long because it is so lovely. My husband has already planned on purchasing me the Christmas Story along with the Sanctuary and animals for Valentine's Day this year. I feel like I have a story to share with people who come to visit without making a big "to do" about it. Thank you for creating such beautiful works of art that tell a story as well bringing a smile to my face when I look upon them. Submitted By: Connie

September of 2011 my mother was living in another state with my sister because of various medical issues. She was getting along fine and insisted that I come and that we do her Christmas shopping. While shopping we came across the Willow Tree Nativity. She was determined to get this for me for Christmas so that I would have something to remember her by. We laughed about her determination to complete her shopping, me going home with the final purchases to make there and to order the Nativity online. Two weeks later, she passed on. The following day the Nativity arrived at my doorstep. I will treasure these pieces always!

I have two wonderful children, a son & daughter, and a grandchild. Since the Christmas Story is so very important to my husband and I we purchased the Willow Tree Nativity for them last year for Christmas. Now each Christmas we can add pieces for them to cherish and to tell the great story of Christ to their children. I went to purchase pieces at our local store the other day, and explained what I was doing. This young lady heard me and said, "What a wonderful idea. I wish my mom would do that!" My children love the pieces, and it's been nice for me to know what I'm giving each year. They don't know which piece they'll get, so it's still a surprise. Thank you for using your wonderful talent and sharing it with the world. God bless you.

My family has enjoyed this nativity set for a couple of years now. In June of this year, our hometown of Minot was affected by the massive flooding of the Souris River. We got all of our possessions out of our house, or so we thought. There was about 6 and 1/2 feet of water on our main floor. On the day that we "gutted" or stripped our basement, we found a box in one of the basement closets. The outside of the box said Willow Tree on it. I was so scared that our nativity set had been destroyed. After all, it had been sitting in 8ft of river water for 2 and 1/2 weeks. But when we opened the box, the figurines were in perfect condition. The water had not destroyed them. No mold or anything. This set survived the Mouse River Flood of 2011, and the message of the figures has and will survive forever. The nativity will sit in our living room as soon as our home is fixed. All year round. We will share our story with all who enter our home.

It reminded me of her because we both shared our love for Christmas and the Willow Tree collection. Now I keep it out year around to help me remember her by. The main thing I love about Willow Tree figurines is tht they have no facial features. Your imagination is left to put a face to the figurine you have. i've always loved my Nativity set and because they have no faces i can imagine the beauty. I think its wonderful that one writer here says she loves the face of Virgin Mary as she looks down at her child. that statement makes my point far better than anything i could say. Susan's Virgin Mary has the perfect face and is probably totally different than the perfect face of someone else's Mary. Thank you for being there and having a figurine to commemorate every special moment in my life.
