I lost my big sister to cancer in Dec 2009 and in June 2016 I lost my little sister to cancer. I have always loved the Willow tree collection so one day while attending a doctor's appointment I stopped by the pharmacy and these two sisters caught my eye, I have them in my kitchen window with the view of the lake, I thought they would like it here as neither of them were ever to visit me here.Thank you for creating my Sister Angels.

My 8 year old daughter and her best friend were the sweetest of friends. They were the purest example of friendship. They were definitely "sisters by heart." This summer her best friend became very ill. She was diagnosed with leukemia. While receiving treatment to fight the cancer, my daughter's best friend contracted bacterial meningitis. We prayed for God to heal her, to take away the cancer and the meningitis. She went to heaven on July 2nd. We know that God did heal her...that my daughter's precious best friend is healed in heaven. We are missing this sweet girl every day. The "sisters by heart" figures are a sweet symbol of my daughter and her best friend and the bond they had. While it doesn't replace her "BFF," it is a reminder of all of the sweet, precious memories they have together.

My beautiful sister passed away on December 8th after fighting cancer for 15 months, she was my best friend and the strongest human being I have ever met. She bought this statue for me before she passed and told my mom to give it to me before Christmas if she wasn't here. I will forever cherish this beautiful statue and have it sitting on my shelf where I can see it every day. She may not be on this earth anymore but she will forever be in my heart.

I have 2 favorites, Sisters of the Heart and Two Alike. Many years ago I became best friends with a lady named Betty. We did everything together, travel the states together. We were always asked if we were sisters because they said we looked a lot a like. One Christmas I gave her 'Sisters of the Heart'. The next Christmas she gave me 'Two Alike'. Three years ago she went to live the Lord. The only thing I asked of the family was if I could have 'Sisters'. The two of them sit together where I can see them. I miss my 'Sister of my Heart'!

When I was 23 yrs old, my father told me that he had been married once before he married my mother... and that I had an older sister I had never met. Soon thereafter she and I connected by telephone, then in person. The day we met in person I took her a gift - and she had also brought a gift for me. Two women who had never met before this day - brought each other the exact same gift - a Willow Tree figurine - we exchanged two of the exact same Willow Tree figurines!!! We were blown away, to say the least... but what makes it extra special to us is the fact that our father's name is Fred Hart - and the figurines we gave each other were "Sisters at Heart".

My absolutely favorite piece is Sisters by Heart. I have two daughters who are now 22 and 18 years old. I bought this piece in 2000 when they were much younger. They always loved playing with the figurines cause the "hands are playing pat-a-cake"...lol, I always cherished this piece because it always reminded me of my girls being inseparable. I have many, many pieces with wonderful memories behind each of them but this childhood memory of my girls I will cherish forever.

Title: Sisters By Heart This piece means so much to me because first, it was the very first piece I got. Second, it was given to me from my very best friend. She gave it to me for my birthday and I fell in love with it right away. It is my most treasured piece as it is one of the last gifts I received from my dear friend before she passed away from brain cancer. I have since collected several more pieces and I have them on a special shelf in my living room so I can look at them everyday and remember Debbie.

My favorite is Sisters by Heart because my sister gave it to me years ago. That started the collection for both of us. Since then we have given Willow Tree figurines to each other for numerous occasions. We live 1000 miles apart so when we are together, we sign the bottom of each one under the figure we represent. I have acquired lots of them since then to represent many milestones in my life. I also have the nativity set. When my husband passed I got Hero and it is standing next to the flag that was on his casket. I love these. Would love to win the new one too.

I have always loved my collection of Will Tree Figurines and am excited to get new ones. My first I has a very special meaning in my heart. It happens to be " Sisters by heart"which was given to me soon after my double mastectomy for breast cancer in August of 2000. My doctors had told me that it wasn't a matter of if it would come back but when, which is why this particular surgery was recommended. I have met so many "sisters by heart"since then as it is pretty substantial size group of women ( and men) I joined back then, continue to meet almost daily. I willing share my story and what to expect to anyone who needs that help and have met so many awesome people. This particular pairing was a gift, reminding me daily of the best friend I shared this disease with and sadly she lost the fight yet 16 years later here I am. We are not an organized group but people joined by this struggle who so willing share with those facing the same challenges love, support, honesty and time to listen.

I have never owned or even knew about Willow Tree until my sister sent me one for my 40th birthday. That was almost 3 years ago in which time I now own 5 pieces, including my beautiful gifted one, which is still my favorite! My 'Sisters By Heart' piece will always hold the greatest value to me. My sister moved to Arizona and started her family out there. I live in New Jersey and it's quite a distance for two sisters who grew up extremely close. She is my greatest friend and someone I admire and look up to (even if she's younger). If she was telling this story, she would say I'm her inspiration but honestly. she's mine. I'm adopted but not according to my little sister. She's never seem me or allowed anyone else to see me other than her big sister. "Sisters By Heart' fits us in so many ways, especially now with such a distance between us. I will forever love and cherish my first Willow Tree piece.

Dear WT, My best friend, Diane, who is also my "Sisters at Heart" and whom I call Sis, gave me Sisters at Heart and Happiness for my 60th birthday :) and to cheer me up. When she asked me to be her sister, I was thrilled! And when I accepted, she was happy too. :) I'm an only child and she has no sisters - but now we are sisters!!! These sculptures are a sign of her love for me, to remind me I'm loved and to be happy. Diane has helped me through a very rough year in which I've suffered injuries (broken arm twice; broken leg); my husband suffered life threatening knee injury (he's better now, Thank God). I also lost my Mom in April and Diane was there for me during that sad time. She's truly been a sister of the heart! And I thank God for her every day! She is so very special to me and I'm so grateful God brought her back into my life. :) I've always admired these sculptures and now they remind me I'm so lucky to have a sister and friend in Diane. God bless you all....

My best friend and I celebrated our 60th birthdays in May, eight days apart. We were born in the same place and our mother's knew each other. Neither of us can remember meeting, because we have always known each other, and been friends. We have grown up together and been through good times and bad, always having each other to rely on, we've never fallen out either!. We feel our long friendship is so special. It was with much laughter and tears when we gave each other this year's birthday gift (we always open them together on the middle day between our birthdays). We gave each other the exact same gift, Willow Tree Sisters by Heart ! Well far from a disappointment we agreed it made it even more special. So thank you for helping us celebrate an amazing friendship.

Today I received a gift In the mail like no other I have ever received. It is thoughtful beautiful and one I have been waiting 52 yrs for but didn't know I was. It's from my cousin Donna in Bendigo. I'm not sure how she knows that I love these but I'm just looking forward to the day we get to meet. I was given up for adoption in 1963 this year on the 2nd of September we were put into contact. Every text message every phone call bring us closer together. People take everyday social interactions with their family for granted. I have found a bond that I never thought I would have we are more like sisters we are 2 weeks apart in age. Receiving this and the meaning behind this piece is exactly how I/we feel. I can now just wait in anticipation for the day we meet. A bond that can't be broken .

I purchased this piece for my best friend. We may have only known each other for 5 years, but she is truly my sister. We share so much in common and came fast friends when she cared for my daughter. Our strongest connection came when we both adopted sons that are 5 months apart in age, at birth. Nothing can create a closer connection than getting to share this special privilege of becoming moms at the same time. She will forever be my sister at heart, even if not by blood. Even my "blood" sister has adopted her as a member of our family. I truly couldn't ask for a better friend, sister or soul mate. Love you forever, Jenn.

Sisters by Heart was purchased for my dearest friend who is actually what we say as "my sister from another mother." Our friendship began over 20 years ago, but we have known each other since I was old enough to remember. I cannot say a specific time that our friendship began to grow deeper but I know God placed her in my life many years ago to be an encouragement to me, to love me unconditionally, and to see me through some very difficult times in my life. She has stuck with me through it all. She is the sister I never had and I cannot say that about any one else I know. When I saw this piece, I knew I had to share it with her. Marsha, my sister by heart, I love you and thank God for you!

I am giving this gift to my very dear friend Linda this Christmas. We were introduced to each other at the beginning of 2014 when I became her companion. Linda has MS and needed someone to take her on outings and spend time with her, which would mean that her husband Jim who is her main caregiver, could have some time to spend on his hobbies and interests knowing that Linda was in safe hands. The friendship between us all has grown in strength and love all through the year. I truly feel I have known them all my life, the bond between is so very strong and so very special. The friendship of Linda and her husband Jim has been invaluable to me over the past few months. They have enriched my life with their kindness and caring. The lovely figures in this gift and the meaning behind them is my way of letting Linda know how very much I care for her. God bless you Linda, you are a very special lady. Much love from your dear friend, Carol x.

My best friend Emma gave this to me as a Christmas gift because she knows how much I love sentimental things. We became best friends five years ago in seventh grade, nobody understands me like she does. We have been through a lot in those five years. I helped her through the passing of her grandma, and she helped me through the passing of my grandpa. Our first loves started around the same time during sophomore year, and ended around the same time at the beginning of senior year. Also, we got to travel across the world beside each other on spring break on a school trip to Italy. It had been my dream to travel to Europe, but traveling to Europe with my best friend, that was incredible. We both don't have biological sisters, but we have each other. Every time I look at my Sisters by Heart piece, I'll think of our mutual love of Twilight and The Hunger Games, our memories in Italy, and the way we laugh at the same jokes on The Big Bang Theory. It's a wonderful decoration for my room, thank you.

Since that time she has been married, had a child, divorced, remarried and then her daughter was married and she had grandchildren and then her husband passed away. I have always considered her my sister and we have stayed in touch all these years. I have been traveling to MI each year for my mother's birthday, this year she turned 95, and I stay with my friend. She has fixed a birthday breakfast for my mom and she has shared dinner several times with the whole family. She has helped my mom when no one else was able to and has also helped my brother (the one she used to date) when he needed rides for Dr.'s and other things. I bought this piece for my twin (fraternal) sister before I moved from Dublin to Toronto, in September 2012. It represents our entire relationship. It was a thank you for the wonderful leaving party she had organised for me, and a reminder that no matter the distance we would always share a special bond. Recently she was diagnosed with a degenerative auto immune disorder. People who know us (including her) don't realise that although I may appear to be the "stronger" of the two, without her friendship & understanding I could not be the person I am today. This news has made our bond stronger than ever before, and together we will get through this!

My dad was diagnosed last August 2012 with cancer. I was terrified. I have no sisters, just a brother. A lady I work with that has been there for me in my difficult time gave me the "Friendship" piece. Over the past 8 months we have become close. I set the piece in my China cabinet so I have to look at it every morning to remind me of the truly good nature that exists in peoples' hearts. When a complete stranger can walk into your life and make a bad situation not look so drear, then you know that there is good still in the world. You just have to open your heart and let it in. I plan on buying a special piece to give to her for her birthday. I never expected to find a person that I would consider being my best friend, but I found a person I would also consider to be my sister. Thank you for just being who you are and being there in my difficult time of need.

My sister has been battling ovarian cancer for the past 14 months. She's had several surgeries and she just completed her 2nd full course of chemo today. Her husband was also diagnosed with neck and throat cancer within a few weeks after she was first diagnosed. They've both had surgeries, chemo. and radiation treatments for him. He had a feeding tube as well- we made special meals for him. They are both doing well in spite of all they've been through. I've been been there and will continue to be there. Today I called to see how she was doing as this was her last day of chemo for this time.I left a message that we should celebrate now that she's made it through, again. She showed up at work with flowers, a thank you note, and a "Sisters by Heart" Willow Tree gift for me! Her card reads as follows: "Thank you. sister. Let's celebrate. We did it again! Much love and appreciation and thanks." How awesome! I will treasure this forever. It has so much meaning for me. I will always think of her when I look at them. Thanks Rachel

Raelyne and I met when we were little girls. Our families lived next door to each other, we started school together, and we were best friends. Her family moved when we were in 3rd grade, but we kept in touch over the years. There were a lot of years we lost contact, then managed to find each other again. Last time I saw her was when I got married in 1980, and once again we lost contact. Around 1992 my phone rang one day, and she had found me again. We kept in touch for about 3 years, but we both moved and lost each other. About a year ago I opened up my Facebook account, and there she was looking for me AGAIN. To say that we had a lot of lost time to make up for is an understatement. We are both 55 years old now. A lot of things in our lives have changed over time. But when you hold someone near and dear to your heart for that many years, you know your paths will cross again. We have made up for lost time and have spent as much time together as possible. Sisters by Heart fully expresses the love and friendship we have.

My "sister from another mister" is the person I got this for! She is my best friend and I can hardly believe I was lucky enough to have found that "Soul Sister!" Yes, I do have two wonder sisters by blood - but we are so different it's sometimes hard to truly know them, though I love them dearly! My best friend Suzie & I met over 10 years ago & hit it off shoveling snow across the street from one another. We had both come to Colorado from Texas and due to life circumstances she has returned to live near family back in Texas. While this saddens me greatly - she is happy and that is the most important thing. I saw this set and knew I had to get it. So today, I will be sending one to Suzie & keeping one with me. There are initial charms that I have put together to send with it so that there's an S on each one. The moment I box hers safely & send it off, these sisters will be separated just like she & I are; however, we will always be a part of each other as these will always be a set. I ruly miss my best friend so much but she will always be with me & I with her--we will always be - SISTERS BY HEART.

I received the Sisters by Heart as birthday gift from my best friend. Sure this sounds like a typical gift but our story is a little different. Christina and I were best friends in high school. We were roommates for a year after high school. We were always together. You never saw one without the other. As we both began to move on with our lives (marriage, kids, divorce, etc.) we lost track of one another. It had been 12 years since the last time we had seen or talked to one another. She had moved to north Georgia, and I was in south Georgia. Over the past 5 years I had searched for her on Myspace, then Facebook. Finally, after hundreds of times looking for her I found her on Facebook. She had just set up an account and I found her. I was so excited about finding her. Only after chatting on the phone and online for about a month, we were reunited. This time we were together with our own children. It was like we had never been apart. We even brought in the New Year (2012) together. Although so many things and changes have happened in our lives, we will always remain connected. Thank you so much for this design; it fits our story perfectly

I never took much interest in figurines, until these were my gifts for me moving to university. My mother bought me 'Close to me' and my sister gave me 'Sisters by heart.' My family said it was a symbol of their love and how close we will always be no matter where I am in the world. My mother and I gave the same two figurines to my sister when she also left home for university, giving her the same message. I am now on the hunt for the perfect figurine for my mother from my sister and mr. They are truly beautiful.

I was given 'Heart and Soul', by a very dear friend of mine who lives in a different country. It was the first time I had seen Willow Tree and I immediately loved it. I have now decided to add to my piece and have a collection. I have just bought 'Promise' as I love the sentiment and it is our 15th wedding anniversary, so I feel it apt. From now on I'm going to get a piece at every opportunity. I also give Willow Tree as gifts. For my sister's 40th birthday recently I gave her Sisters by Heart. I can't wait to begin my collection.

My sister had been giving me Willow Tree figures for quite awhile. When shopping for Christmas I found "Sisters by Heart" and knew my sis would love this. I'd already bought her another Willow Tree figure, but her birthday was in January, so I bought it for her birthday. I enclosed the gift in her Christmas box and sent it off. On Christmas morning I eagerly opened the gift from my sister to me, and it was "Sisters by Heart." In January, she opened her gift of "Sisters By Heart." We agreed we have always been close in heart and it shows because we purchased the same gift at the same time for each other.

One of my best friends when we were children and I were reunited through Facebook. Over the last couple of years we have gotten close all over again! I had a long layover during a flight and she met me. She showed me a picture of a Holly Hobby figurine I had given her when we were little. Then she presented me with "Sisters by Heart." It is my first Willow Tree figure even though I have admired the collection for years. Thank you for helping us share a very special time together.

My long time friend has just given me my first Willow Tree piece (which brought a tear to my eye when I opened it), Sisters by Heart, for my 45th birthday. On the gift tag was a message which read "Have a Happy Birthday, Thank you for all our years of friendship. This gift commemorates our friendship, with lots of love." We met by chance 29 years ago at the age of 16 and have been friends ever since. We both have been through tough and trying times along the way, and although we no longer meet up on a regular basis we are always there for each other no matter what. After finding the invitation within the packaging to visit the website and share stories, I thought it would be a nice touch and a way to say Thank You for such a beautiful gift and our friendship.

I've always said my sister and I should have been twins! Although we are 15 months apart, we are so much alike--we think alike and act alike. Yes, we're sisters, but we are very close. She is my best friend, my shoulder, my Sister. She sent me this figurine after going through the death of my 26 yr old son, and her nephew. It meant so much to me and it actually made me know how much my sister loves me. She stood at my side every step of the way and continues to be my hero now as I go through chemotherapy. I love her very much, her name is Beatrice!

I saw this while browsing your website. My best friend and I talk like this whenever we're able to get together. I had to change schools, so we don't see each other as often as we'd like. I sent this to her as an e-card (I'm planning on getting it for her!), thinking of all those conversations about crushes, death, love, happiness, and God. I'm so glad He's blessed you with such a powerful talent.

I was sent a 'Sister By Heart' Willow Tree piece from my best friend who lives in Scotland. My family left Scotland two and a half years ago to move to Australia. While opening the box I could barely contain my tears as the piece was so meaningful. It represented us. The way the sisters heads were situated and their hands joined reminded me of our last goodbye. Though we are best friends, life takes its toll and we do not speak very often during our university semesters. When we did talk she pointed out that we were 'Sisters By Heart' and that when she saw the piece she had to send it. She even pointed out which one was her and which one was me. The piece represents the distance between us and the bonds that will never break. It's the most meaningful present I received this year for my 18th birthday. It is proudly displayed along with three other Willow Tree pieces.

When my sister Cheryl passed away from ovarian cancer a dear friend gave me the "Sisters By Heart." I keep them on my kitchen window sill and love to look at these precious figures. We have a second home in Florida and I bought a second set of "Sisters By Heart" to bring to Florida. That way I have this special remembrance of my dear sister every day. I miss her dearly.

My cousin and I weren't always close when i was little, but as i started to grow up I realized that she was more like me than I thought. We sometimes have the same exact thought and we would say the same thing at the same exact time. She once sent me a message saying I was the sister she should have had, and that she never wanted me to be depressed or to hurt. She was the sister I always wanted but got a cousin instead. I consider her to be a person I can turn to if I have problems and some times need to talk. It seems as if she is the only one that actually understands. For Christmas this year she got me the Sisters by Heart, and with the one figure embracing the others hands, it's like my cousin embracing my hands. I can always count on her for what I need, and I'm so truly grateful that she got this for me. It shows how much closer we are

She has been there for me through our teenage years, marriage, birth of our children, and we have even had to deal with sickness and death of loved ones. I love her like a sister. The year was 1987. Our nine-year-old son had just had his ear drums replaced at the University of Iowa Hospital. As I walked into his room I saw this Angel caring for her cystic fibrosis son. If I remember correctly she and her son had been there for months with no car - her care for him was constant. For two days I watched her patiently wait til he finished his meal - only to eat what remained. She never complained the entire time I was there. I will never forget her telling me that she had a six-month-old baby girl at home - also with cystic fibrosis - and how sad she was that she would never become a grandma. Nathaniel passed away on October 23, 1998. His sister Ashley Elizabeth is a recent college graduate; married to a wonderful guy named Mark; and is teaching vocal music. Linda and I have been remained friends since those days in 1987. We haven't seen each other (we live too far apart) but we communicate frequently. I just received not only "Surrounded by Love" but "Sisters by Heart" for my birthday/Mother's day. Nothing could mean more to me because we have "a treasured frienship of sharing and understanding." Linda, I hope when you read this you will know just how much I cherish our friendship and just how much I will cherish the Willow Trees that you sent! You mean the world to me!! Collie

I was given my first figurine, Angel of Mine, for my birthday, right after my son was born. I love it because even though it has no face, you can still see affection and love. Since then I have recieved more. After my grandmother passed away, I got her the Comfort plaque. As a Christmas gift, I got Sisters by Heart and for my first wedding anniversary I recieved Promise from my husband. I continue to love these figurines. The warmth that comes from them, and the love that came from the people who gave them to me are never forgotten. I now want to get some of the family oriented ones for my husband and myself, and I continue to give them as gifts. They are a great ways to send love without words.

I have been giving Willow Tree figures to special people ever since, the first of which was to give my sister the "Sisters by Heart" figurine. My best friend and have been best friends for 18 years. She is and was always there for me through thick and thin. I introduce her as my adopted sister and her daughter as my adopted niece; my parents even introduce them in that way I love it. On Christmas 2009, my best friend and I exchanged gifts. I opened my gift and she opened her gift from me and the funniest most memorable thing we both bought each other the Sisters by Heart Willow Tree. She never heard of Willow Tree until my mom told her about them and her first purchase was the same as mine. I have my Sisters by Heart Willow Tree sitting next to my Willow Tree Nativity set. Oh what a memory!

I was always extremely close to my best friend Krista. We could look at each other and know exactly what one another were feeling or thinking. We could finish each others sentences most times and shared almost everything and every moment together. Krista was diagnosed with cancer when she was 17. We went through many ups and downs throughout her battle. I gave her the Sisters by Heart figurine during one of her stays in the hospital. It truly symbolizes our friendship. Though not related by blood she always and forever will be my sister. After a long and difficult battle she lost her life to the disease. I received the Sisters by Heart back. Every time I look at the figurine I get tears in my eyes remembering the most amazing connection and love I have ever had. She was an extremely loving, compassionate friend that lived her life with incredible passion and courage. She never gave up the fight even when it was close to the end. Thank you for your wonderful art that expresses so much meaning and thoughtfulness in the gifts I can share with others. It truly represents them and the milestones in their lives and my own.

My eldest sister and I have always been close. In 2006 we had a huge quarrel that separated us. I tried to make peace with her, but for six months I went about my life with no word from her. Then one day I received a package in the mail. When I opened it I was shocked to find the “Sisters by Heart” figurines with a letter from my sister. She asked me to forgive her for letting pride come between us, and requested that if I forgave her to mail back one of the figurines so that we would each have one to hold. I called her and we settled our differences. Now, when I look at that figurine I think about my sister and I know that we will always be “Sisters by Heart".

I moved away from my home country for a time, and found the distance and adjustment very difficult. I was away for my birthday. My sister bought me the Sisters by Heart ornament and had me take it away with me when I went, and told me that if I got too lonely I could open it early. I did. It was a huge comfort, I love it. I'm still away from home, and the ornament sits beside my bed. Sisters are amazing.
